Vintage Room!

I m going to reveal a very dear secret of mine today. I have always harboured this dream of having a vintage room.
And thanks to someone..( will disclose the name later) I can see this dream coming true..

So this project of ours started with some internet search and market survey and it almost broke my heart when a poster seller told us that its an impossible dream :(

But then we bumped into some art gallery owner and he arranged for some posters but they didnt meet my requirements. But atleast it instilled some hope in me..

And then today, due to hardwork and dedication of my friend, we did find some sites where these posters are available :). I cant explain how ecstatic I felt and now I am one step closer to my dream  :) :)

I will write more once my wall is ready...

p.s I was searching for some vintage hollywood movie posters.

My ink pen

I went to the book fair last month with a few friends. Amongst my few purchases, I impulsively bought an ink pen along with an ink bottle.
That reminded me of my school days when ink pen seemed to be such a nuisance.

After coming back home the first thing I did was to search for my pen amidst the books and craft things but couldn't just locate it. That made me sad as I hate loosing things.

So here I am, missing my ink pen, wont rest until I have one again!!

Not just a Room :) :)

This one's out of blue
coz i m missing my hostel room
its yellow-orange walls
with pink and purple curtains
a set of lovely pictures
thrown on a chair my favourite shawl

the long corridoors
and curvy stairs
shouting each other's names
even when sittin next door

i remember cribbing about my room
when some lizard used to crawl up on my wall
but those were some days
even if it meant waking up all nite long
just to shove her away along the hall

Oiling each other's hair and making braids
clicking stupid pictures any time of the day
running to hide heaters when warden was on round
begging for maggi frm top floor to down

Watchin t-20 world cup in a single room
shouting hard on yuvraj's sixes
or when India finally won the cup
pushing everyone just to catch a glimpse
calculating runs n overs on finger tips

Crying over unfinished quotas
or lost manuals at the last moment
searching for patients all over the town
seeing faces with never ending frowns
my last resort was always my room

Cant help feeling nostalgic today
it took me 6 hrs to put wallpapers that day
Life moves on so do we
but my hostel room will always be a part of me
